In the early 13th century, Temujin, later known as Genghis Khan, emerged as a unifying leader among the nomadic Mongol tribes. Through a series of military campaigns and strategic alliances, he united the disparate tribes of the Mongolian plateau. By 1206, he was proclaimed Genghis Khan, establishing the Mongol Empire and launching an era of unprecedented expansion. His leadership laid the foundation for one of the largest empires in history, shaping the geopolitical landscape of Eurasia.
