Transportation in Mongolia
Given Mongolia's expansive and often remote terrain, planning your transportation is crucial. Domestic flights are the fastest way to cover long distances. For shorter trips, buses and shared vans (mikrs) are available. For a truly authentic experience, consider hiring a local guide and traveling by horse or camel, especially in rural areas where these modes of transportation are still prevalent.
